Embracing diversity and empowering global talent

CUHK Business School is dedicated to nurturing future leaders who will drive impactful change in business in the region and beyond.
Lavanya Anthwal (Year 3) discovered her enduring passion for the study of economics during her high school years in India, and this passion has only grown stronger during her time at CUHK Business School.
In moments of doubt, Lavanya finds solace in a well-worn book she brought from India, Misbehaving by Nobel Prize winner Richard Thaler.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Lavanya has experienced tremendous personal growth by discovering and embracing her authentic self.
Venturing into her first overseas study experience away from her Indonesian home, Beatrice Djayasaputra (Year 1) embarked on a journey of self-discovery in an unfamiliar cultural environment.

As a fresher, Beatrice enjoys immersing herself in the diverse and vibrant community at CUHK.
During moments of longing for her Indonesian home, Beatrice finds comfort in a seemingly ordinary notebook.

Empowering Our New Social Change Makers with Global Perspectives: Study Tour to Prague, Czech Republic

Organized by CUHK Business School, a cohort of 20 business students, including Leanna Ho (Year 3) and Linda Kuang (Year 3), have recently completed their transformative experience as social changemakers during a study tour to Prague from 29 Dec 2024 to 4 Jan 2025.
Revealing the Social Issues behind Prague
To help our students understand local issues in Prague, our office collaborated with Pragulic, one of the social enterprises in Prague offering unique city experiences through the lens of homelessness, for an exclusive workshop and tour.
Another highlight of the workshop was a physical walking tour led by the homeless guide, Roman, who had experienced homelessness in Prague for 9 years.
Learning the Business and History in Prague
Being hosted for the workshops by Light in the Dark s.r.o.
Our journey extended to a company visit to METRANS, a.s., where students had a glimpse of how logistics connects the world through sustainable approaches.
Sightseeing Around Prague and Exclusive Experiences
Alongside the busy schedule in Prague, our students also learnt the art of falconry and gained insights into animal rescue as a non-profit organization during their visit to Penthea, z.s..

As the new year approached during the journey, our group travelled to Kutná Hora, a town in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, on New Year’s Eve for a historical and cultural visit.
As the 7-day study tour drew to a successful close, we hope that the journey has left profound memories with each participant and has further motivated them to contribute to the community through their small efforts.’
