Rachel CHAN – Class of 2020

“‘Please describe yourself with an object.’ – interviewed by GLEF program director.

‘A half-filled water bottle, to be filled up with university life for the empty half.’

This conversation marked the beginning of my experience in GLEF. With the small admission size, I established close relationship with batchmates and program staff. The program has been very supportive to our academic and career planning. Tailor-made advice and professional support are provided according to students’ personalities and career aspirations – the program emphasizes on our individual needs, and encourages us to explore our talents.

What distinguishes GLEF is the international exposure. With broad student mix, we are able to experience cross-cultural learning. Since exchange study option is not fixed by the program, it opens up flexible choices of exchange schools, duration and course to be taken overseas to fit our own needs. Resources from both business administration and social science faculty also polish our technical and research skills, for instance, the exclusive access to the world-class Bloomberg Terminal Lab in CUHK.

I would still describe myself with a half-filled water bottle, but with much a larger volume enhanced by GLEF. I love the years spending with all my friends and the program staff, who always fill me up and flourish my university life.”
