“I went to Durham University in 2019-2020 for a year-exchange and it has been a great adventure.

Durham, although small, is rich in culture and history, and is famous for its grand cathedral. Durham University is among the three oldest universities in the United Kingdom. Studying in Durham has allowed me to explore on my own and learn from my peers. For instance, I did a 30-minute presentation covering the literature review on an economic theory and I would say it was quite demanding compared to presentations I have done in CUHK!

St Chads’ college is definitely a highlight of my exchange life. Chads has been my home away from home and it has been dearly missed. There are “formals” where we all dress fancily with gowns and enjoy the high table dinner. I felt like I was in a Harry Potter movie when wearing the gown! Also, there are ‘college families’ and ‘college tutors’ where I met some amazing friends.
